Lub, dub. Lub, dub. Lub, dub. The pilot's heart beats. Slowly rising as he prepares to take off. He looks at his wallet for one last time, staring at a beautiful picture of a woman holding his hand with her well-pampered petite hand, smiling without the slightest hint of anxiety. The pilot then puts the wallet back into his pocket, and slowly pushes forward the lever of acceleration. The engine roars to life, emiting an azure haze of power. The black plane slowly moves through the smooth paved road. Then, the pilot fully pushes the lever all the way and makes the plane bring him into the sky. For a moment he is truly happy, seeing the clouds float around him. Hearing the air rushing through him. He climbs and climbs higher, spinning without a care in the world. He looks out into the sunset appreciating its beauty. Then the next moment a blip in the radar, no 2, wait 3. A red light flashes. The pilot sighs, and quickly making the plane twist and turn. Explosions erupting from all sides and the happiness evaporates into anger, pain and despair.
The beauty of the sky can only distract you for so long.
